RENA SYSTEMS BECOMES EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR
OF
ASTRO MACHINE ADDRESSING EQUIPMENT IN NORTH AMERICA

– Bodo von der Wense, president of Rena Systems, Inc. has announced
that Rena has signed an agreement to become the exclusive
distributor for Astro Machine Corporation's tabletop inkjet
addressing equipment in North America. In addition, Rena will
distribute the full line of tabletop tabbers, labelers, and console
inkjet equipment.
"Rena Systems and Astro Machine are the only independent, privately
owned companies left in the inkjet addressing business and it's a
natural fit for both companies," stated von der Wense. "It combines
the two worlds of excellent equipment and highest quality service."

Entry level products in the new Rena System Envelope Imager line
include
Envelope Imager CS - this desktop inkjet address and barcode printer
is the most affordable address printer on the market - and it prints
in color! It prints full process color on everything from postcards
to larger envelopes. It offers addressing speeds of 4,000 pieces per
hour and full color print quality up to 2400 x 1200 dpi. The shuttle
head design also allows a full 8.5" wide print area across the
entire height of the mailpiece.
Envelope Imager 1.5 - this desktop inkjet address and barcode
printer is the fastest inkjet addressing system in its category. It
prints 7,200 envelopes per hour and 11,000 postcards per hour, and
offers print quality from 150 dpi to 600 dpi, with a print area of
1.5" height, 14" maximum length.
Envelope Imager 1.5 Plus - a desktop inkjet address and barcode
printer that offers increased material capacity (increased to 500
envelopes), greater speed (30,000 postcards per hour and 22,000
envelopes per hour), and increased memory (64 MB of RAM), all at a
low price. It also offers print quality from 150 dpi to 600
dpi, and a print area of 1.5 height, 14" maximum length.
Envelope Imager 2.5 - this new desktop inkjet address and barcode
printer has many of the features of the Envelope Imager 1.5 Plus, as
well as a unique compact design, a robust feed system that takes
1/4" material an d a 2.5" print area. It is the most affordable
multi-head fixed speed printer on the market.
Mid-range products in the new Rena Systems Envelope Imager line
include -
Envelope Imager 3.0 - this innovative tabletop inkjet address and
barcode printer sets new standards in affordable speed and quality.
It prints 34,000 postcards per hour, making it one of the industry's
fastest tabletop inkjet printers. It has a powerful 133 MHz
processor, and 64 megabytes of RAM (which is double the model it
replaces), takes materials 3/8" thick, and features a 3-inch print
area with two fully independent heads.
The Envelope Imager 3.0 has increased material thickness capability
to 3/8" and has an innovative cartridge storage station built right
into the chassis. It offers print quality from 150 dpi to 600 dpi
and has a clutch-managed feed section for precise feed control.
Envelope Imager 4.0 - This new tabletop inkjet address and barcode
printer offers many of the features of the Envelope Imager 3.0,
including the same robust chassis. It has a larger 4" print area
with four individual print heads that offer much greater flexibility
for larger mail pieces.
High-end products in the new Rena Systems Envelope Imager line
include -
Envelope Imager XT 3.0 - A full-featured tabletop inkjet address and
barcode printer that has a 3" print area from three independent
print modules. It can accept materials up to 3/8" thick and has Rena Systems
exclusive Five-Channel AccuTrak vacuum transport system for on-point
registration. It has production speeds of over 34,000
postcards per hour and 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour. It
prints addresses, attention line, postal barcodes, return addresses
and indicia on mail pieces at the same time!
Envelope Imager XT 4.0 - Has all the features of the Envelope Imager
XT 3.0, except it has a large 4" print area from four independent
print modules for class leading versatility. The AccuTrak Transport
has a wide center belt with powerful vacuum assist through that belt
and movable outside transport belts that can be customized to the
size of the mail piece.
